Well I got this from site from someone else asking about a site to help keep track of calories. I love it so far (except certain days when I'm faced with the fact that I've obviously eaten a lot of crap). Anyway, I do want to lose a bit to be healthy and look good, but I need to do it for my job as well, so I have a bit on the line. It's lame, but what do you do. I look forward to talking with you all.

    Hi there Emily,
The forums are especially quiet during this time due to the different time zones people are in. Where are you from? Welcome to MFP...I can assure you that this is a fantastic tool to help you on your new lifestyle quest. Every pound I have lost has been with the help of the MFP programme and the fantastic support of friends on the forums.

You will find amazing support here and great advice for many queries. I'm sure you can also help others out with your own experiences. Good Luck and please feel free to add me as a friend.

I would also advise you to read the "sticky" posts in the forums as these can help you further understand the MFP programme.

Oh, and don't worry about going over on cals..we ALL do it. Maybe you could try and enter your meals at the beginning of the day..this has always helped me, and you can change certain things which may take you over your allocated calorie intake.

Good morning to you, Emily! This is a great site for not only losing weight, but also for staying motivated & healthy! My oldest daughter showed me this site in March & for the first time in my life I'm actually having fun losing weight! Welcome! If you are looking for friends you can add me!:flowerforyou:

    Thanks.
A couple of days I entered everything in at the beginning, but I just knew that last night I was going over/starting out bad this morning. As mentioned my job is boring, so I knew it was going to happen. Plus on top of that I sprained my ankle the other day and it's been kind of sore so I haven't been working out with the intensity I usually do.
Right now I'm in Nebraska, In May I leave for Cuba.

Welcome Emily! There are a few other military folks on here that probably hahve similar goals for fitness for the "job". This is a great site and when my head is in the right place I do well following the MFP guidelines.
