Higher calorie foods

I am having a hard time with my extra calories. For most of my time on MFP my calories were set to 1200 and I recently upped them to 1560 (.5lb a week) which seemed like a lot but was doable and most of the time that is without exercise. I started doing the 30 day shred which burns about 200 calories and for the last few days I have had 200-300 extra.

My main issue is I workout at night so normally I can't eat much after a workout. I eat popcorn every night and factor that in first thing in the morning so I always have that snack no matter what my day is like. I was just still adjusting to 1560 calories and now I have an extra 200+ on top of that.

I am trying to eat more smaller thing throughout the day knowing that I will have at least 200 in exercise calories but as I am sitting here right now I still have 532 calories left for the day.

I guess what I am looking for snacks that may be higher calorie but not super heavy.

Thanks I usually have some peanut butter toast before I workout...it is my go to snack. I will have to try with apples though since I am not big on eating so much bread.

A handful of nuts or a yogurt & berry smoothie are both about 200 calories and not very heavy or over-filling.

Yes I agree with nuts. They are full of good fats and are really good for yu but they are a bit heavy on the cals. So just a handfull should be enough to help.

    Protein/Carbs 4cal/gram
    Fats 9cal/gram

:) Fatty foods help raise calories. I'd do turkey burgers. They have great protein, but also a pretty good fat content.
