Thursday night, a member of the fire department I am in, lost his fight with cancer. I was asked to serve in his Honor Guard for his funeral. I turned the honor down due to the fact that I didn't feel like I looked good enough in my uniform to serve in such an honorable status. I will look good in my uniform. I hope to God to never have to go through another brother's funeral, but I know I will. And I will not turn the honor down because I do not feel good in my uniform. Damn you food. You had such a hold on me for so long. No more.

Sorry to hear of your loss. And I believe that you will look good in your uniform...I agree with leomom, I think you should have done it anyway, but I do know how you feel. Good luck in your journey! You can do this!
  • Sorry for your loss. Remember that you are not defined by your outside body...radiate the love and joy that you have for life - even if the uniform is snug. You are going to need a new uniform in a much smaller size soon!

i'm sorry for your loss, serious motivation though! now everytime you think about cheating, remember you NEED to look great so you won't have to turn down this honor again! ::hug::
  • so sorry for your loss... but you got a right mind, to want to keep motivated about it and keep strong and make sure you dont have to turn it down.
