I recommend trying this website podfitness.com. You can get a free trial of 8 weeks.

What you will do is create a profile and put in your fitness goals and based on your recommendations it will create programs for you-- you select a personal trainer and the trainer is actually coaching you through your workout mixed with your own music. It's very cool and very motivating. It helped revive my old song selections.

Also, it was the only thing that was able to get me running because I chose to download running programs. It was great.....then my ipod died.    ....and I haven't invested the money into a new one.

Once you download the workouts, they are yours after the trial. I created over 100 workouts--running, walking, weight lifting, circuit programs---using my own song. It was GREAT!!!

It's a guilty pleasure... but I have to admit that my favorite work-out album is Blackout by Britney Spears. All the songs are really up beat and keep me going. Second in line would be Riot! by Paramore

Actually for me any upbeat praise and worship will do the trick:
    3rd Day
    Casting Crowns
    Donnie McClurkin
    Shekinah Glory

Just to name a few, it's hard without my ipod in front of me.

I recommend trying this website podfitness.com. You can get a free trial of 8 weeks.

My sister is doing the podfitness training and loves it. She takes it to the gym or street every day jogging. Great program.

Now I think overall you can do the same for yourself without the high price. Pick out your favorite get up and move songs - plenty listed, and then start your workout. I like to do 2 warm up songs, at the end of those warm up songs I increase my speed. I am a beginner so 3.2 on treadmill for warm up, then 2 little faster songs but still nothing to run too at 4.0 speed and then I do 2 really fast moving songs at 5.5 then 2 songs at the 4.0 speed and then cool down with 2 mello songs reducing speed to 3.2 and then to 2.4.

    So break down:
2 warm up songs -- est time 6-7 mins total
2 mild heart rate songs -- est time 6-7 mins total
2 fast, really working it songs -- est time 7-8 mins total
2 mild heart rate songs -- est time 6-7 mins total
2 cool down songs -- est time 5-6 mins total
    Total est time = 30 - 35 mins

I really enjoy the workout, feels like a good workout when all done. Would love to hear what one of our trainers think on the outline.

This is the version you workout to?

Sorry, have to copy and paste...

I actually do have this whole album on my IPod, but I don't use it for working out.
  • depending on my mood, usually alot of dropkick murphys, flogging molly, and great big sea, and nightwish, otherwise i crank up some rap, or techno that has a good paced beat

I like something bouncy and upbeat. Jason Mraz is good for that, just the right amount of jazz and pop to keep me going. Nickelback is good, too, because of all the energy in the music.
  • ANYTHING James Brown is my fave! I love music that I can dance too... (People in the gym think I'm a bit crazy, but it keeps it fun for me...)

    Here's my Playlist:

Get Up Off That Thing - James Brown
Bust A Move - Young MC
    Work It - Missy Elliot
    Sexbomb - Tom Jones
Rock The Casbah - The Clash
    Superfreak - Rick James
Puttin on the Ritz - Taco
Get Up, Get Into It - James Brown
    No Diggity - Black Street
    Sex Machine - James Brown
    My Perogative - Bobby Brown
The Humpty Dance - Digital Underground
Rock Your Body - Justin Timberlake

    ENJOY!!! I know I do. :)
