I was trying to add in my exercise for yesterday, but I am unable to find the Leslie Sansome Walk Away The Pounds DVD workout and how many calories you burn for the 1 mile workout (along with the 2 mile and 3 miles for future reference). Does anyone know?

I have one of her DVD's "3 mile weight loss" I have been doing it everyday and its 3 miles in 45 minutes so I have been logging it under "brisk walk 4mph" Since thats what 3 miles in 45 min is.. but there is so much more than just walking in the dvd so I am assuming that I may be burning more, plus I use weights with it..
  • Leslie's 2 Mile Walk is about 1300 moderate steps or 20 minutes of moderate walking. Hope that helps!

Just put in WALKING.......and choose a MPH.

Like I use Walking 3.0. That is because I did the mile in 20 minutes, which is 3 miles per hour.

    Hope this helps!!:flowerforyou:

I always logged it under aerobics low impact and then I got a HRM and it was pretty close to the same amount!

    That's what I was thinking...I suppose it's better to underestimate anyway :)

I log mine as 4.0 mph walking. Leslie's mentioned in several of her videos that you workout at a 4-5 mile an hour pace. I have a HRM, so I can manually adjust MFP's estimations. I've noticed that MFP's doesn't seem to be too far off though; in fact, in underestimates (which is best if you don't know for sure). I'm 170ish pounds, 5'7', 16-years-old and I burn about 200 calories with a 1-mile video. I work hard at it though and strive to break a sweat. Sometimes I'll even throw in jogging intervals to keep my heart rate up. It gets harder to burn calories the smaller you are. I think I burned almost 300 calories with a 1-mile video during my first few months (I'll guess between 240-295 pounds).

And now off to do a 1-mile walk-at-home!! :) I love Leslie, lol.

When you workout to it, look at the time on the dvd to see how long it was. Some people will enter it in as light aerobics but I do it according to the time. MFP and other sites are pretty generous about calories burnt. You can enter the time and other info on this site ( http://walking.about.com/library/cal/uccalc1.htm ). Enter this exercise into "my exercise" for the future. I have mine labeled as this cover title. Hope this helps =)

I don't know but I would suspect that if you were to email their web site they could let you know. I have been using it off and on and when I am "on" it really makes a difference for me. Keep up the good work Chris

I usually log mine at 4.5 MPH, and it's fairly accurate. I was surprised at how close MFP was when I got my HRM and it was only off about 30 cals or so :) I normally do about 4 miles

When I do it, I log it as low impact aerobics since there's way more to it than just walking.
