I have always fluctuated with my weight. I started at 325 and then went down to 250. Then I went back up to 290 and then down to 230. As of 2 weeks ago I was at 310lbs. I have decided that this is it. I am not going to spend my whole life going through this. I am going to stay healthy. Keep count of my calories and exercise. I am starting slow and working my way up to greatness. I weighed in this morning at 297lbs. That is a 13 lbs difference in 2 weeks and I met my first goal of getting under 300lbs. My next goal is to start the couch to 5k program this week. Then I am wanting to start P90X in May. It is going to be very difficult, but with all the support I am getting I know I can do it and all of you can do it too.

Remember to always think healthy.

The hardest part is getting off your butt and making the changes, you are well on your way. This is why I made a men's group to support and ,motivate eachother to get it done. I posted many things in my blog that will help you on your path and feel free to add me as a friend for that help. I also issue weekly challenges to the men to get us that extra push to work that much harder to achieve the goals and make a healthier us.

i beg to differ slightly about the hardest part: the hardest part is changing your mindset, or rescinding excuses is REALLY hard.

if you ask me, which you didn't, but if you did, i'd say one way to help change your mindset is to stop watching tv. it sounds so weird, but because tv is meant to sell you ideas and have you compare yourself, it's an easy tool to find yourself using to make excuses about why you can't make your goals.

also setting small, realistic, attainable goals is super important. for me, i focus on only 10lbs at a time.

when i eat, i eat one bite at a time.

when i work out, i work out one workout at a time.

i don't worry about all the future workouts, meals or pounds. i just focus on what's in front of me.
  • All the best you know you can do it, I also started at 325.6 pounds last october, and I weigh 291.7 as of friday I am going to do it slowly this time
