I like to make diner these days because If my boyfriend makes it I can't control the calorie count. So I was looking for some delicious low calorie dinner ideas.
Here's mine!
BBQ chicken Pizza
Start with a piece of lavish bread (I get mine from trader Joe's)
Spread two tablespoons on bbq sauce
top with 1/4 cup low moisture mozzarella Cheese
2/3 cup Oscar meyer pre-cooked chicken breast ( you can cook your own and lower the sodium but this is my lazy dinner idea as well)
1/2 a cup of mushrooms
and a sprinkle of fresh spinach
355 calories 7 grams of fat
*edited because I added the calories with the wrong cheese*

I love to make chicken terriyaki bowls.
I just cook the chicken in terriyaki sauce
cook rice and steam some broccoli
I put some of the terriyaki sauce in a pan and add pineapple chunks with fresh cilantro
put 1 cup of rice in a bowl, cut the chicken up and put over it put broccoli in the bowl and pour about 1/2 cup of sauce over it....YUM0 -
Great thread!
I love to make veggie fried rice...that is mostly veggies and very little rice. I cook up maybe 1 1/2-2 cups of veggies (onions, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, peas, whatever is around), add 3 ounces of cooked, chopped chicken breast, 1/2 a cup of brown rice. At the end add in 1 egg that is mixed with soy sauce and 1 teaspoon sesame oil. Mix until egg is cooked and season with soy sauce and red pepper flakes. 323 calories before counting your veggies, which will vary. And it makes a ton of food!
Brown Rice, long grain, 0.5 cup 108
Chicken Breast, no skin, 3 ounces 94
Egg, fresh, 1 extra large 81
Sesame Oil, 1 1tsp 40
TOTALS: 323 calories and 29 grams protein0
