Hello!
I am a college student and on Tuesdays and thursdays i am on campus from 11am-8:50 at night, so i need some ideas on what to pack for lunch snacks and dinner.

Im wanting to aim about 300 for lunch, 400 for dinner, and 300 to snack around on.

Any ideas would be great!

Lunch: Lowfat yogurt, berries, & granola (about 300 cal. if you do 1/2 c. of each)
Dinner: Peanut butter & banana on wheat toast w/ cup of skim milk
Snacks: Fiber Plus bar (120 cal.), Luna bar (180 cal.), apple (100 cal.), string cheese + cup of V8 (150 cal.), Goldfish (150 cal.)

Been there, done that, doing it again this year.

My favorite packing item are Cliff Bars (~210 cal) - they come in a variety of flavors, USDA organic, and when taken with plenty of water, will keep you full for a long time. Past that, I take a tip from my Search & Rescue days, and keep a package of GORP/Trail Mix (also ~210 cal/ serving) on hand. My current favorite is the Monster Mix you can find at Target.

Also, good salads travel better than you think! If you have an insulated tote, great, if not, your "refridgerated" items (mostly cheese) will last for a couple hours outside the fridge better than you think.

I highly suggest bento boxes (or the idea anyways).

this site has some suggestions: http://calorielab.com/news/2008/01/23/building-a-diet-bento-box/
I used to love bringing my lunch bento box style. it gave a great mix without a lot of calories.

I could give you all sorts of ideas, but I'm not feeling too wordy tonight, so instead I'll suggest you look at my diary. Specifically look at Wednesday to Saturday. I work 12 hour shifts on those days, and pack my food for my Morning Snack through the first part of my Evening Snack. See anything on there that confuses you, shoot me a message!

    hey there!

i'm a college student too. for snacks i love fiber one oats and chocolate bars (140 calories and keep you full!) as well as greek yogurt. I like dannon fruit on the bottom! sandwiches are great for lunches on the go, just don't put too much stuff on them! i like ham or turkey on whole wheat with one kraft single american cheese slice. Bagels are also very filling and you can put cream cheese, butter, or make a sandwich using them too! hope this helps and feel free to add me as a friend!

Tuna creations (they come in a bag ready to eat) Love the sweet and spicy flavor
    Bell peppers
    Carrots

    Hope this helps

Tortillas are a lot lower calorie than bread, the ones I eat are 65 a piece. You can also get low calorie cheese (you have to search, sometimes it's hard to find). Salami isn't bad for lunch meat as far as calories go either. That is usually my lunch right there with a low cal yogurt. Also fruit is very low and easy to take. I like coffee a lot, and herbal teas usually have no calories! Hope this helps!

I'm a full-time student and intern as well, so I'm gone from 7 am - 5 pm most days of the week. I try to bring 2 meals plus 2-3 small snacks (or maybe 1-2 bigger snacks). An insulated lunch bag and a frozen ice pack to go inside are lifesavers!

    Main meal items:
Greek yogurt with granola or walnuts to mix in
    Peanut-butter sandwiches
    Deli meat sandwiches
Meat + Laughing Cow cheese rolled in a low-carb tortilla
    Pre-packaged salads
    2 Hard-boiled eggs

Side items that double as snacks (I usually bring 1-2 for a meal and 2 for snacks):
    FiberOne bars
    Baby carrots
Any fruit (berries, plums, and bananas lately)
    KIND bars
Cheese (string cheese, Babybel cheese packaged in wax, etc.)
... but mainly fruits and veggies

-2 Caramel Rice Cakes (100) with 1 T of peanut butter (100) spread between them sandwich style
    -string cheese (80ish)
-1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 cup celery sticks (35)
-1/2 cup roasted chickpeas (140) (roasted w/o oil--drain and rinse, add seasonings and roast @ 425* until as crunchy as you like. Stir and check every 10 minutes)
