This is my beautiful and highly energetic puppy Cabella. She is a 7 month old black lab and great pyranees mix. She has been my motivation to get back into running because the only way she gets tired out is after a long run around the lakes.

Does anyone else have a pet or any other form of motivation?

Oh my goodness! She's so adorable! I have a red heeler/Australian shepherd mix (1.5 years) and a lab/heeler mix (11 weeks) and those two keep me motivated. Remember.... A tired puppy is a happy puppy. Mack and Molly keep me happy and going on long walks.

I have a brindle pit bull and MY name is Raven lol

She is lazy though so she isn't motivational at all. She used to sleep in until 10-11am when my daughter was a new born. We were a giant mass of blankets and heat!

    She is so beautiful!

Believe it or not, my little pup was also my motivation. I took him to the vet and he told me that he is way overweight for his size. He is a Shih Tzu/ Toy poodle mix, 13 lbs. He should be under 10. Thats when I knew I had to start walking him.... walking myself too!

Ahh they sound like such sweeties! Happy is another thing... Cabella continuously makes me happy just in the fact that she's always so excited to see me. Got to love pets for that!

I agree! I love coming home to my baby! today I woke up and she was trying to lay on my pillow with me. nothing like big lick in the eye to wake you up! when the weather gets better where i live, which is just about to happen, i am going to really try and walk my pooch! she deserves it and i am not doing it. if i can walk a mile on the treadmill every day, i should also be walking her.

I have three dogs - a blue heeler, a red heeler and a heeler/husky mix. One is a crazy ball dog and one is plagued with injury.

The other one can go forever. The red heeler, her name is Ripley (from Alien) and she literally is my training partner for running. We did 11.5 miles together yesterday. She loves EVERY second that we're out running together and really doesn't understand why we only run 5 days a week!

Haha they sound like a ton of fun! Cabella will only run a certain amount before she suddenly lays down on me and wants to go home. She's only 7 months so I'm sure when she gets older her stamina will build.
