Why on Earth am I gaining?

I'm eating healthy, almost always at or under my calorie goal. Very careful with my sodium and fats, etc... And yes I keep gaining weight!?!? I even burn 800 calories 3 days a week swimming and doing water aerobics. What's going on?

  • What are your inches? I mean, are your clothes tighter? Are you gaining muscle from your workouts?

    Is it just the one week you have gained weight? Usually on weeks where I gain 1 lb, I lose 4 the next week! Is it that time of the month? (You may be retaining water if it is).

    Are your cardio workouts as high impact as they used to be? Do you need to take them up a level?

    Are you eating back at least some of your exercise calories? If not, you might have too big of a deficit that's causing your body to guard the fat and slow down your metabolism.
