running bleachers

So I have no idea how many calories I burn when I run bleachers. I googled it and livestrong.com says a 176 lb person (my weight) would burn approx. 1,197 calories per hour while running bleachers. Does this seem high or about accurate?

    That's probably pretty close, although maybe a tad high. I know running bleachers is a smoker, we used to do it all the time for PT! Your best bet is to get a HRM so you know for sure!

    what does a HRM tell you? heart rate obviously, and just calories burned?

    my $.02 - seems high to me

    (I'm ~ 180 lbs and I run a lot of miles, but not bleachers)
