Last 10 pounds...

I have been on this weight loss journey for a few years now and I have always struggled with body image and the fluctuating number on the scale. After all this heartbreak and success, I am down to the home stretch. I hear the last 10 pounds are the hardest to remove and I was wondering what all of you do to push yourself over plateaus. What exercises have done the most good for you? I'm 5'4 and currently 131 lbs.

Running... I'm close too (last 15 to go) and hoping it keeps coming off at the rate it has been. If it does I'm going to actually like how I look this summer!!!!
  • i read in another post to lose the last 10 lbs or last few pounds is to cut back your sodium, to 1500mg

usually people increase their workout. from what i have seen, and maintain their calories.

    hope that helps :drinker:

best wishes for your last 10 lbs

I agree with Fabiola! Kick your exercise into high gear--more of whatever it is you do (I walk fast... never been a runner). Knock out the sodium AND caffeine. The caffeine was hard to let go of, but it can be done. Have a serving or two once or twice a week, but that's it. And water water water.

I had your stats almost to the TEE a month ago and broke my plateau this way. Here's to the last 10!!
  • Thank you for the tips! I've never been a runner either (bad knee), but I could definitely step it up in the gym.

My mother said the key is to change up your work out routine when you hit a plateau. (She lost 50 lbs and has kept it off for 8 years.)
