How often & what exercise do you do?

Ok so Im fairly new and have only been on site for a week. I am 5ft 6 and my starting weight is 15st 12 (222lbs)

I have been working out at the gym for at least 60 mins per day consisting of:
18 mins cycling
18 mins treadmill
30 mins cross trainer

I am going to go swimming tomorrow also and I was just wanting to see what others do in their workouts and see if we can get some ideas from each other.

    I go 3-6 x / week for 30 min. - 1.25 hours. I do some mix of:

    Walking
    Jogging
    Elliptical
    Rowing Machine
    Stairmaster
    Strength Training (Abs / Arms / Chest / Back)
    Swimming (though it's been a while... it sucks having to shower, dry hair, change clothes etc. before I leave the gym... can't wait for the weather to warm up and my outdoor pool to open!)
    Yoga (it's also been a while... but it's hard for me to make it to scheduled classes)

    Outside of the gym, I'll do yoga or pilates DVDs, take long walks or hikes, or maybe even jog a little... but I do those things the least often of all.

    It helps to mix it up a bit, at least for me. Like I'll do different routines on the elliptical... or do 4-5 things each visit, or change resistance... Keep it up!

    i do 30d shred dvd, currently on day 6 level 1, walking or running/walking combined for an hr each day and cycling about 2 times a week, and use a gym ball for approx 10mins daily

    60-75 min yoga class (3-5 times per week)

    Strength training (30 Day Shred DVD, or machines at the gym 2 times per week)

    20 to 45 mins Intervals on the Elliptical (2-3 times per week, in combination with yoga or weight machines)

    60 min zumba class (1 time per week)

    I do other random classes (boot camp, body pump) when it works out, but doing yoga is the only part of my workout that is non-negotiable.
  • i usually go to the gym 3 times a week for about an hour: 30 mins on the crosstrainer, 20 mins on the exercise bike and then 15 mins on the rowing machine.

    i also do weight training once a week: leg press, chest press and abdominal 10 sets of 10 (each).

    seems to work for me :)

    I am doing C25K 3-4 days a week and other days I use the elliptical, do Pilates, hike, and a few other things. I work out 7 days a week unless I am really sore then I take a day off.

    I just finished C25K, so now I am running between 3 and 4 miles a day, 4 or 5 days a week. The other days I try to do an exercise video (JM 30DS, Ripped in 30, Biggest Loser, or Ten Minute Trainer videos).

    I do-

    2 days Yoga for 1 hour
    2 days Zumba
    4 days Elliptical or Precor 100I (2 of the days are the Yoga Days)
    3 days walking, walking my dog, hiking or running

    Sex is a included Cardio exercise too. So I get that added in as much as possible ;)

    Insanity 6x/week. Currently on the 1st week of the 2nd month. I supplement it with the occasional HIIT elliptical routine if I didn't feel like I burned enough, or if I'm feeling masochistic that day.

    Every other day, without a specified time frame, I will do random prison workout routines throughout the day, which basically works like calisthenic circuit training with burpees, tricep dips, abs, pull-ups, rows, military presses, bicep curls, dead lifts, squat-thrusts, and lunges. I incorporate the use of an 80 or 100-pound resistance band when I can.

    Step class
    Spinning class (just started trying it out)
    Yoga
    STRETCHING!!! (Almost every day to prevent injury)
    Massage once a week (Helps keeps me going strong)

    3- one hour whole body strength per week
    5- sessions/week of 25 - 35 minutes cardio, alternating between elliptical, and the treadmill. and occasionally the stairclimber.
