Having guests with success

Today was the first day that we've had company over since I've started watching what I eat. I had already planned out what lunch was going to be, and made yummy low-cal dessert brownie things, in order to keep on track for the day. Well, my sister-in-law also brought dessert, which was lighter (thankfully). She brought some Turkey Hill frozen yogurt and Newton's cookie thins. Conscious of portion size, I had mine in what I know is a half-cup size ramekin and checked the portions on the cookies. After lunch and 2 desserts I felt so stuffed!! Once they left I looked at my hubby and told him we were going for a walk. 30 minutes later we were home after burning off some of those calories and I felt so energized! Plus, we haven't done that long of a walk EVER just around the neighborhood, so that was a great achievement on top of it. So after all this I was able to work in some wiggle room for dinner, which I kept light, and I am coming in UNDER my cals (by only 14 but hey, it's under) for the day.
It's a great feeling that I know now that it is possible to entertain while still maintaining all my hard work.
