    1. Pick a lean meat. Salmon with lemon, tilapia seasons, grilled chicken, extra lean beef, lean pork chops. You can marinate these meats in your sauces of choice, i like fat free kraft zesty italian, and trying different meat rubs (: we bought a st louis one that tastes like bbq chips!haha

    2. Pick a veggies. Make this steamed. Green beans with onion salt, broccoli or cauli are good, stir fry, side salad, maybe make with the chicken as a big salad. You can try different veggies, and in the summer can even put in foil and on the grill, or on kabobs!

    3. Pick a 30 g of starch. You could do a baked potato with salsa and fat free sour cream, maybe a fruit salad, some healthy whole grain pasta, uncle bens 90 second rice, corn, peas, etc.

    4. A gladd of milk should add about 15 grams more for your son. Maybe give him a little desert of some animal crackers, or one of my diabetic safe sweets is a little slice of angel food cake with strawberries with with splenda, and fat free cool whip.

Ive been a diabetic for 10 years (I am 18) and its not too bad as long as your not overly strict with rules. :)
