gotta work on the new fruit veggie thing but I think the training is gonna be great! It only took me 7 minutes to do the whole routine and I feel fantastic with just that 1 circuit!!0 -

If you are having a hard time getting in a New Fruit/Vegetable, maybe you could prepare a fruit/vegetable you already eat in a different way. For example, instead of eating strawberries alone, put some in your salad or add it to a recipe. Just an idea. ..Good Luck!

We made a beef and root veggie stew tonight and guess what! It had Parsnips in it.... I haven't had them to my own knowledge in well who knows, maybe forever! SO that worked out in my veggie favor didn't it... now how the heck do I find a NEW fruit? I will take a look when we go shopping this week. :-D I forgot about the circuit, but i will make it up, no worries. Did day 1 of ChaLean extreme today though! :-D0 -

Still no new fruits or vegetables, my kids are on School Holidays at the moment and I hate taking them all to the shops, hopefully tomorrow. I only managed one circuit today although I did do level 2 and 3 of the 30 Day Shred, plenty of jumping jacks, pushups, crunches etc in there :noway:0 -
Morning! Well, it looks like the rain is back here but all the more reason to get moving inside.
My circuit today is a bit modified, as it came curteous of my trainer, but still, PLENTY of lunges, push ups, jumping, etc etc. Gonnna be sore later, but it's all good!

I tried fresh mango today for the first time. I have had it in smoothies before but never as a whole fruit.
It was really good. If you get it ripe, it is sweet and soft. The texture for me was good but i know some people don't like soft textured things.
The only thing is that if you eat the mango when it isn't ripe, its pretty hard and coarse...not much flavor. Make sure you find a mango that is nice and tender!
Calorie wise- there is about 100 cals a cup...not too bad!

So I tried this thing called a Pepino Melon. I randomly saw it in the grocery store as I was scouring for new fruits and veggies, and it was kind of cute so I grabbed one and googled it when I got home.
Apparently they're somewhat rare outside of South America (where they are grown) because they're really sensitive to being shipped (they bruise easily). I have no idea what they were doing here, but I'm glad I found you.
I thought they were pretty good. They're fairly bland and the consistency of like a pearish/apple. The entire fruit is edible (skin, seeds, etc). I tried it with salt (yuck), hot sauce (in SUCH moderation), and just plain. I think I liked it best plain. Traditionally it's eaten at breakfast, sometimes with sauce, sometimes as a sauce. Also served with lemon or lime juice. I kind of want to run back to the store to get another to experiment with.0
