Too Much Protein???

Does anyone know about how much is too much protein for women? I am doing the Insanity program along with the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and counting my calories to a tee. In 3 weeks I lost almost 7 lbs but then gained it all back. I have been having protein smoothies for a meal a day and I have a recovery protein drink after my insanity workouts. I also have special K protein meal bars as a snack or meal sometimes. Could I be causing myself to gain back weight by having too much protein.

Please Help, I am so frustrated right now!!!

    could be the carbs associated with it... that's why when properly followed, the atkins diet works so well. high protein, low carb...

    you drinking enough water?

    I drink a ton of water, at least 10 glasses a day but sometimes more.

    the guidline is broad. 10-35% of calories can be made up from protein...my DRI goal is 42g (i'm 5'3", 111lb). there is no benefit other than satiety for consuming more protein than that. it's important to consume the right protein at the right time.
