Has anyone done a colonic flush before?
A couple years ago I went to a holistic dietition and did her detox regimen. It included taking some natural herbal pills, eating salads 2x's a day, no fried foods, no whites (no white bread, no white sugar, no white ANYTHING), and all RAW 3 days a week. At the end of 2 weeks, I did a colonic flush - and at the end of ONE month I had loss almost 20lbs.
The issue for me was - I noticed that I started having gastro issues. Come to find out that along with the flush - I was flushing out some good stuff that I should have replenished with probiotics and stuff like that.
Has anyone ever done a colonics before and did you find it beneficial?

Try reading this first......... You had GI problems when you did it before....you were lucky, some people have had
their bowels perforated...not very nice.0 -
I had posted this elsewhere but hope it helps.
I just had it done last week and will be going again today. It is totally recommended for anyone who is constantly constipated and having issues with other organs. It is highly recommended that you take probiotics before and after having the colonic treatment done as yes you may lose some of the healthy flora in the process. I recommend taking probiotics for anyone taking meds as well as (for a female) it will help you not get a yeast infection. My stomach was always bloaded and hard to the touch because of a all the build up. I even had my gall bladder removed and have been having trouble with kidney infections and my pancreas. This is due to the toxic build up that has been sitting in me for so long as I would only go #2 once a day or at least 4 times a week which is not healthy. I do drink a lot of water daily and eat right but that wasn't even helping me. Having the colonics done helped my stomach go down a lot and is helping me go to the bathroom more regular.
I went to A New Leaf which uses only warm water and not caffeine as other places will do. Your large intestine has several points issued to several different parts of the body (eyes, nose, liver, gall bladder, etc...) and it also will take in nutrients from food you eat but when you have a wall full of old toxic waste that never flushed out, you will get sick. After 45 minutes of the colonic treatment, my body was still flushing out old debris from my body and you can feel little pelets coming out during the 45 mintues, I was able to go down 5 pounds after the treatment so its not just water being flushed in and out. stuff actually does come out.
I recommend this for anyone wanting to be healthier. Hope this info helps others. Probiotic pills are a must and even the doctor I went to told me so.0 -
its bull.
our bodies know how to flush out toxins..or liver does it everyday..and our bowels are full of bacteria..buts its bacteria we need to properly digest and break down the food. just because what comes out is gross..doesnt mean it needs help being ungross while its inside. and having those flushes done can be very harmful..as it can cause a fluid inbalance in our bowels and can be very dangerous.
i know this because i'm in a xray tech who has to do barium enimas on patients..and thats a big concern when doing these exams.
ugh..if you have gatro problems you need to see an actual doctor. you could be having many issues going on and those flushes can or could make them worse. you didnt describe your gastro problems..but it could be anything from gallbladder, crohns, IBS, uclers, diverticuli etc. and flushes certainly arent going to solve those problems0
