Bolthouse has new line of dressing yogurt dressing ... 2 tablespoons for 70 calories I measure out two tablespoons in a small bowl and dip my fork...

they also have vingrettes for 35 cal for two tablespoons and Kraft has roasted red pepper that is really good too..

I use rice vinegar at times to thin out dressing I like the flavor..

I find that tbsp. of dressing is usually enough for a salad 1-2 c. in size. I just put the salad in a big mixing bowl, top with dressing, and then stir with a spatula 'til it's all coated. You'd be surprised how coated the salad gets with only 1 tbsp. dressing.

Try the having the dressing on the side and just dip your fork into the dressing.

I have been doing this for years. You get a taste with every bite and only eat a teaspoon or so.
  • Do you like ranch? One way to get the flavor of ranch and cut the calories a bit is to buy the powder ranch and mix it with 2% milk and light mayo... sour cream, ranch mix and a lil milk works too...just a suggestion :-)
  • I use Paul Newman's Light Honey Mustard..I think it is 3 or 4 grams of fat per serving..hope that helps!

Put it on the side in a small container and only dip when you really want to! You'll be surprised at how little you use and before you know it you won 't be dipping at all!! Good luck

Another tip is if you have to eat the full fat mega dressings then dip your fork into the dressing first and then into your salad. you will eat very little dressing but get all the flavor since it is underneath the salad and the last thing that touches your toung

A really good salad dressing is Bolthouse Farms, Creamy Yogurt dressings. Its really tasty and the classic ranch goes for about 70 cal for 2 tbsp! compared to other dressings, i think thats really good. and the best part is you dont have to compromise taste. Hope this helped!
