Ok for all you runners out there.. I'm fairly new to this whole thing (running without something chasing me).. and I'm currently doing the c25k thing however I'll be in my first 5k tomorrow.. while I'm not ready to run it I can definitly complete it doing some jogging / walking combos..
Anyway here is my question.. should I do my c25k run workout tonight or wait until after I do the 5k tomorrow..
I'm conflicted about it.. thanks and I don't want to get too far off course
Thanks in Advance for all the info and advice..

Personally, I take the day off before a race. I did a triathlon yesterday so I didn't work out Saturday and I am taking today off. For your first 5K, just enjoy it. Use the race as your workout for the day and have fun! That, ultimately, is what a race is supposed to be all about!! Good luck and have a great time!0

I'd do it, seeing as it's not a major tax on your body.0

I say whatever will work best for you mentally- if you feel like it will give you more confidence and excitement by running the night before then go for it! If you would rather just have a day to relax than do that. I don't think it would be too hard on your body to do a 5k two days in a row, but you know your own body better than anyone else! Good luck. I'm doing a 5k on Saturday as well and i've been BAD about practicing!0

Rest! Additional hard training is not going to help at this point and could be counter productive. But if you want to do a light jog just to stay loose it won't hurt. Kind of up to you; where are you at mentally and physically? Just don't do a hard run - no hills, speedwork, etc.0

I am not a runner so I have no advice about that - but I did my first 5k last winter and I am doing my second this weekend! I just wanted to say YAY FOR YOU!!! Have fun with it!!0
