new to MFP!

hello all i am new to MFP and i am trying to stay the course with learning to eat the right things. i was told that i need to eat more b/c my body is often in starvation mode and this is why it is harder for me to shedd the unwanted pounds. my question is how do you eat more when it seems like i am always eating? i have breakfast @ 7, snack @10, lunch at 2 a snack at 4 and dinner @ 7! that to me is a LOT of food! Any suggestions or ideas i am open to listen and thanks in advance for the help!
