I walked then ran walked than ran 3 miles today in 44 mins. I have aPolar F4 HRM said I burned 423 calories. I feel like that is alot. Like it should have been like 300-350cals. I am 5'4 125lbs if that has anything to do with it. Max HR was 191 average was 163. Think the HRM is right!!??! Seems like a lot of cals for 44mins of excersize. Oh haven't ran in about 6 months this was first run and my face is beat red/ purple--- I look like a freak!

I'd say that's about right, if you ran 3.. that's at least 100/mile or so, then you had a very high peak, so it obviously was up.. I can say I'd burn at least that, and I weigh less, same height.

Sounds pretty close. I'm a pretty efficient burner now, and get about 8-10 calories per minute during my 5k runs. I ran 41 minutes last night and got 369 outta it.

Does that Polar model have the V02 max you can set? I know I had the F7 and was getting some crazy high burns. Turns out the V02 max was set to high.

Considering your heart rate levels, I'd say that it is about right.
