So I've finally decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and get a heart rate monitor! :)... I've been told Polar is the best to get and one with the chest strap...? I was looking on ebay and it looks like I can get a RS 300X for $119 including shipping...

http://cgi.ebay.com/2011-Polar-RS300x-Heart-Rate-Monitor-RS-300x-ORANGE-/130507685596?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e62dd3edc

Is this a good buy? Does anyone else have them? are they easy to get set up? By looking at it, it looks like it has the chest strap, plus chest monitor and watch included... This may be a dumb question, but are they all included in the price? Is there anything else I need to get with this? Do I need to buy online subscriptions like I would with body bugg or body media fit? Since I have this website I don't really feel like I need an online subscription, especially if I would have to pay extra for it? All I really need it for is to check calories burned since my read outs are all over the place, I would like to know a little more accurately.

Thanks for your help! If I shouldn't get this kind, any others you would recomend?

$119 sounds like a good price, but the RS 300X includes GPS. Is this a feature you really want/need, or are you just looking for heart rate monitoring and calorie counting?

I use the FT4, and love it. Chest strap is very comfortable and it is very easy to set-up and use. It tracks your average heart rate, peak heart rate and calories burned. And during your workout it can display current heart rate, heart rate compared to zone, workout duration and calories burned.

I was able to pick up my FT4 for ~$80 at my local sporting goods store on sale.
