So I have been overweight for the past 7 years.I have been working out 6 days a week. But my problem is I do great all week with Calorie and the weekend comes and there goes the diet.I feel like I am lacking motivation and The power to eat the right things.
I am getting so frustated.I have lost 20 pounds in 3 months but my goal wasnt met today becuase of my eating habits.
I know where I am going wrong but I see it and eat it.I am dreading the weekends.
Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions what I can do to keep myself on track.

I was the same way But after i found this site and saw it all out there and I could see what i was eating and drinking it made it alot easier I have been a member 10 days and have lost 5lbs, working out and keeping at least 600 below my calorie count
Welcome and have fun!! YOU CAN DO IT!!0 -
For me its preplanning. I plan early in the week to not let myself slide on the weekends. I know what my meals and snacks are gonna be and I treat the weekends just like any other day of the week. Other than the fact that on Saturdays I am trying to do something interesting and different (i.e. hiking, swimming for fun, paddle boat, etc). Something other than the gym. Also, don't let weekends be your "break" days. If you don't work on the weekends then go exercise twice. That will keep you more motivated NOT to pick up the bad things. Overall, it's all about self control. Know that you want it and when you find youself reaching for the chips, smack your hand.0

Cut yourself a little slack!! If you don't meet every single goal on the exact right day, don't worry about it. As long as you continue to live a healthy lifestyle with good nutrition and plenty of exercise, forget the calendar. NO ONE is perfect and NO ONE is going to hit every goal on the exact date they set it. You've done a great job!! Focus on the positives and celebrate your success! Keep up the good work!0 -
You'll get there most of it is temptation from your surroundings I would just let it all go on the weekends as a reward for eating good during the week that got me NOWHERE! I now eat just as right on weekends (close to my 1560 MFP recommendation) I'm hoping to keep this up until I hit my target weight.0

i dont even think of sat and sunday as being any different from the rest of the week, mainly because i dont wanna undo all my hard work ive done in the week, it works for me0

I used to get like that all the time. I made sure I planned my meals ahead of time and scheduled everything in advance.
Try that on a friday night and see how that goes.
Good luck and focus on your goals. You can do it!!!0 -
I just started working with a personal trainer and she says that I can have a "300 calorie cheat" once a week. This way I don't feel like I've failed when I go wrong. Maybe for you it will be less or more, but it should be built into the meal plan so you have room for that extra intake. The key is making the diet something you can and want to do. When I have a good week I look forward to what that "cheat" will be. And because I've allowed for it, I know it's not going to set me back, or ruin my progress.0

Saturdays are usually very unplanned for my family, so sometimes we are out and about and only end up eating two meals which has been helpful. And Sundays are my planning day for the week so I start there and move forward. I give myself treats sometimes, but am trying really hard to be just as serious on the weekends as I am during the week. It also helps to make your food diary public so people can see what you're eating and offer honest help You can add me if you'd like!0

We all have some sort of fall back, the key is getting up and moving forward again. One thing that has helped me is being able to plan ahead and ALWAYS keep healthy snacks on me when we are out and about on the weekends. Another BIG help is working out on the weekends. I'll get up really early and get a run in, or lift weights. that way you dont want to ruin that good workout you had by eating crummy all day.. lol But you should always allow yourself some kind of reward or little cheat meal.. we're only human!! :flowerforyou:0
