Water Fasting?

Have any of you heard of water fasting? Also has anyone ever tried this and did you benefit from it?

    a 1-day water fast here and there is okay. I don't know how some people do 20+ day water fasts but I don't see how it can be healthy. I would rather do a juice fast! And I can definitely see how after a water fast one would want to binge and that can cause serious health issues :P

    Yes on a water fast you get very irritable and weak. Very hard to resist a binge! Not worth it xD If it goes for too long muscle loss occurs

    I tried it in my younger days. 2 times in fact...both times fainted after 14 days ans didn't lose one pound!!!

    I really don't think fasting is healthy in the long run unless you have a medical reason to rest your digestive system...just my 2 cents!

    I'm not thinking about doing this just seen it on someone's food log and it got me curious. I googled it and saw that people actually do this for weeks on end. Kinda scary really I LOVE my food way to much.
