I know eating right is very important while you're pregnant, but I would consult your doctor RIGHT AWAY before getting too involved in a workout routine to make sure it's safe for both of you! My first pregnancy, I was overweight beforehand and found out I had gestational diabetes and was put on a strict diet and acutally lost 9 pounds the last couple months, but I wasn't really exercising other than nice walks.
Good luck, and ask the doc. Once baby comes and you get the all clear... work your butt off!!!! Oh, and congrats!0 -
Talk to your doctor. I was 270lbs when I got pregnant with my last child & I was 270lbs when I gave birth. I was surprised that I didn't gain any. I did water aerobics & walked. I didn't "diet" but I did make healthy food choices.0

instead of trying to lose weight while pregnant, try limiting how much you gain instead. My son I gained 44lbs. never lost all of it, when found out was pregnant with my daughter 11 months later. Since I didn't want to get any bigger. I watched what I ate (unlike with my 1st pregnancy), and I did alot of walking. I was able to limit my weight gain to only 21lbs. and I lost it all 3 months after she was born.
Just eat right, and walk, and you should be fine.0 -
I would suggest visiting with a nutritionist--so you can learn how to eat properly for you and your baby---but you can still continue to workout---at least a brisk walk, but check with the doctor to see what your limits are for exercise.0

thank you for your replies i will just eat healthy and walk i think and try to not gain as much weight as i have previously n then make sure i wait until its born to worry about how much i weigh hopefully i wont put on loads like i have before and then i should lose it quicker aswel with 4 kids to run around after :-)0
