Can we take a look at your food diary? I too am struggling, but I also know that you really have to tweak the diet.0

hello edith, first i want to say KUDOS to you i think you did outstanding loosing fifty lbs! i am sure it wasn't easy but stay motivated you come so far that i know these last few stubborn lbs will find a new home if you stay the course. unfortunately i don't have any good advice to share other than attitude helps staying positive makes it a little less of a struggle. what i have heard and maybe this will help is that when it comes to the last few lbs we have to "shock" our bodies back to loosing. i was told to switch up exercises maybe do something you have never tried before and focus more on learning that than the actual weight loss it may help i haven't tried it yet b/c i have a long road ahead but let me know how it goes! you are truely an inspiration!

I had a look and I have no useful comments apart from I see you've tried the M&S seeded hot cross buns - are they nice? I'd love to know!
The last 10 pounds seems to be where people really struggle: I've seen a few people recommend strength training (strength training builds muscles which burn calories faster).
I'm 20-30 pounds from my goal so I'm planning to include more strength training upon my next plateau. At the moment I just carry extra weights when I do cardio and use my own body weight as resistance.0 -
mzneecie - thank you so much for your kind comments! yeah shaking up my exercises might help - will def give it a go!
emsibun - thanks for replying, the seeded hot cross buns are horrible! i really would not recommend them - such a strange concept and strange taste too! weight training isn't something i've tried before so i'll look into it
good luck with your weight losses!0 -
Oh that's such a shame! I LOVE seeded bread and hot cross buns! Have to say I was doubtful when I saw them the other day. I won't waste my money
Best of luck with the 10 pounds - stay motivated!0 -
I am also struggling with those last 10 lbs after losing 70. I wish there was a magical remedy but I just keep doing what everyone tells me to do. Exercise, strength training, eating well, etc. Eventually it will work, right?0

I looked at your diary for a couple of days and noticed a few things, no water, several sweets or quick added calories that don't show what they are, very little protein and no exercise or at least none logged (unless I missed something).
I have lost 12 lbs. since the end of Jan. I have a total of 20 to lose. I set my goal to lose 2 lbs. a week and stalled out for a few weeks at the 10 pound mark. I exercise 5-6 days a week, cardio and weight lifting. To break the stall...I changed my goals lost per week to 1/2 a lb. a week. That raised my daily allowance of calories, I was under-eating even at 1200 calories a week, and I am now losing a pound a week.
Nutritional tweaking and some exercise and I bet you'll have those extra pounds gone in no time! Good luck to you.0 -
when I need to drop a few lbs, I reduce my carb intake. I don't eliminate them completely, just keep them lower than usual to see if that breaks the barrier. then, introduce more carbs slowly after I get those stubborn lbs off.
good luck!!!0 -
I hit the same wall, I was turning 30 in Feb (147ish). I wanted to be at 140. I got back to tracking seriously and consistently. I started drinking my shakeology (no, I'm not trying to sell it to anyone) every day, once a day, and I upped my physical activity BIG TIME. Well I'm down to about 139-140 but my body is totally changing, I highly suggest weight training. I don't care if my weight stays the same as long as my fat % drops and I'm gaining muscle! You've done an amazing job, and should be very proud!0
