have been looking at Delfin Spa Bio Ceramic Anti Cellulite Capris and shorts rather than the neoprene ones ... at Amazon .. I know a couple of gals that use the neoprene waist trimmer in their training before body competitions and say they work so thought if ya do shorts it would help in fat cell reduction .... Opinions please??

I have a pair of Curves neoprene slimming shorts that I bought from Avon (my sister sells it so I thought I'd help her out) and all they have managed to do is make me sweaty. I have not noticed any difference with or without them.0

Workout clothes won't have any benefit. The extra sweat isn't going to aide in fat loss.0

stuff like those clothes can temporarily make a SMALL difference in inches, but it's not going to result in any extra real weight loss.
You are just dehydrating yourself, and the minute hydration levels go back up, you regain the "lost" inches.
not worth it, IMHO0 -
meh, i just wear work out capris from either target or walmart, and a mens hanes t shirt lol0

Sounds like an overpriced load of bull to me. Just read the description, and it appears to me to be more marketing hype... trying to sucker in people that want to lose weight. The positive reviews said that it made them sweat... WHILE THEY WERE AT THE GYM!! Gee... you think?? Isn't that what you went to the gym for in the first place? Increase your pace by 5% and you'll sweat more and save $65.0

Yep. The weight you lose is from the additional sweat. Once you re-hydrate, the weight comes back.0 -
The only way to get rid of whole fat cells is through liposuction. When we "burn fat" we aren't ridding our body of fat cells, we're just reducing the size of the cells. Most of us do not produce new fat cells after puberty. When we "get fat" our fat cells grow in size because they start storing excess carbs/sugars and fats, the things our body uses for energy. When we start "burning fat" our body metabolizes the stored energy sources in our fat cells, reducing their size, but the cells themselves remain. (So if you gained weight after high school, you should be able to burn fat and "get skinny" again. And, this is the big reason that overweight children often end up being overweight adults.)
I've heard that making an area of your body warmer (ie. making it "sweat more") can help burn more fat from that area. A girl I danced with claimed that wearing an extra pair of sweat pants made her burn more fat from her thighs. There are all manner of products on the market that achieve the same thing, from special shorts to tummy wraps to sauna suits. The evidence supporting the use of such products seems to be largely anecdotal, the scientific studies are lacking.
In my opinion, things like this tend to be a waste of money.0 -
