A lil bit bout me I've lost 75lbs and have had no problems with keepin it off for over 2.5 years. I love working out
I do all the right exercises.
My question is: I have "loose" skin if I lose more weight would it tighten up or become more saggy????
I am already @ a healthy goal weight (145) I am 5'7"
I've just been thinkin that if I lose more weight then maybe it'll tighten up a bit as it would have no option??? Idk... I just know that I can't afford a tummy tuck/body contouring surgery.
Any advice!!!!!!!!! I am really bummed, bc I'd be happier if I didn't have such an unsightly lookin body...
Btw, I can't figure out how to upload my pics so instead I will let ya all know that I have a pic of my stomach under my pics. So give me your advice or experience on the subject.
Thanx in advance!!!!

How long did it take you to lose the weight? Fast weight loss sometimes causes this. You're young, so I think eventually the skin will tighten up.
The obvious, lots of water will help.0 -
One more thought..... Loose skin caused by pregnancy is not always going to tighten up :ohwell: so if you have given birth, talk to your obstetritian.0

What type of strength training are you doing? I would increase that and increase your cardio.0

I have the same issue, I have already lost 70lbs and I want to lose 35 more but the more I do the worse my skin is so I am interested to hear the advice and comments0

Well, if ittable been stable for 2.5 years, I don't think losing more weight will help. May need to have a skin reduction /tuck surgery to improve the appearance.....0

Increase strength training and see what happens. I would say don't look to losing weight, but trying to resculpt your body. HIIT or Metabolic Resistance Training will burn off fat with 2-3 workouts a week. Add some strength training on some of the other days and you will probably see changes in your body as far as getting rid of fat and toning up your muscles. Calorie wise I am assuming you are at maintenance level, or if you run a calorie deficit go with a small one. You want to give your body what it needs to burn fat and build muscle, that means big deficits (or any deficit for that matter) is not needed.0

try swimming to tone it up0

3 days a week of legs for one hour (bc I love workin my legs)
2 days a week of shoulders, biceps and triceps usually 45 minutes to an hour
2 days a week of chest and back usually no less than an hour
everyday 30 minutes of cardio and 3 times a week of p90x ab ripper x0 -

I do 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps with as heavy of weights as I can do and still maintain proper form.0 -
well this is the exact subject we discussed when we became friends on MFP
I did drop extra pounds just to see and then I also did some intense ab work just to see
i did notice that when I dropped down real low my skin did tighten up more and then if I kept up an ab routine everyday it really made a difference
so I do think if you drop a little more weight it will help just don't know how much I've also tried to use one of those skin abrasion things on my tummy to help renew the skin don't know that I did it consistant enough to make a difference0
