I don't really know how to work the site just yet, but I'm figuring it out. I'd like to become friends with some of you on her for weight loss support. I have a few questions though...

- For those of you who've lost weight, did you do any certain thing as in Diet Plans or certain exercises that worked for you? If so, what are they?

- What is YOUR inspiration for losing weight?

- Would any of you like to be my "personal trainer" and check in with me about every other day to make sure I exercise?

- How do you not make excuses for your workouts?

I seem to be one of those people that think dieting is the only answer to losing weight and although it may work for some people, I don't feel like it'd work for me. So, I'd like to know how everyone keeps with their workouts and gets the energy to do so. It seems like I never have energy after being at school for 7 hours every day. I'd also like to know what goes through your mind while you're working out. I'm scared to workout outside because I'm always thinking someone I know will see me and they'll think "Why is that fat girl working out? She shouldn't run." I just need some overall motivation. I'd also like to know what you all do to keep your mind off food. I feel like my weight is mostly from emotional eating and it's hard for me to keep my mind off of food when I'm bored.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this. I hope to hear from you guys! Good luck with your weight loss/gaining!

I don't think of this site as dieting site. I think of it as a site that helps me to learn how to eat healthy. I am eating more, losing weight, and doing it the healthy way. I pick up on recipes from other people, it's an easy way to see my calorie intake for the day, and also holds me accountable because I know I'm gonna have to face that food log! I am now addicted to this site. Good Luck to ya!

I agree. If you're really serious, it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. The key word is healthy! Feel free to send me a friend request. I'd be happy to share thoughts with you. Make sure you share your daily meals with everyone, or else we can't offer any ideas. This is a setting you will find. The key to exercise is not to dread it. Find something that you enjoy and try to fit in any activity when you can. I'm a full time working mother with a two hour commute each day. I don't have time to spend an hour at the gym, so I have to do what works for me. Quick walks, Fun exercise DVDs, housecleaning! Anything I can find time for. Good luck!

  • Hey, I'm kinda on the same track as you. I'm a 9th grader & i'm always super tired after school to work out & when i get home i eat so much! I use to weigh 155 in 8th grade, now i'm up to 170 (I'm also 5'9) . This website has REALLY helped , i love putting in the foods i eat & see how good i'm doing, it makes me what to eat healthier! I also have recently joined track this year & i run long distance. We run about 4-6 miles each practice! So its a great workout . Maybe you should join & sport or something. Whenever i want food i think of my goal weight and what i want to look like and it holds me back from eating. You can add me as a friend (:
  • Welcome to your place of success!!!! I eat pretty much the same stuff, minus cokes, plus extra water.....but I still eat pizza. YEA PIZZA!!!!! As you fill out your profile stuff, it'll give you options of how much you wish to lose per week. As long as you stay around or a little below (not a lot below) your calorie goal each day, you should see the results. I have mine set to 2 lbs. per week, and with doing boot camp 3 days per week i'm losing 4 lbs. As you go along and look at your levels, you might even tweak your diet to cut back on somethings like for me salt is always 1000mg over. Gonna try to fix that so I don't stroke out one day.lol Good luck in your journey!!!

what i did, was find foods that worked for me (budget, calories, and if they are easy to bring to lunch and keep in my lunchbox.) eat healthy but normal for say a week. look back at your logs and see what food you ate alot gave the most calories, and try to drop them down. its really something that you yourself do based on how you live.

    - What is YOUR inspiration for losing weight?
I feel great when i exercise, and since it will be summer soon, i gotta look good for when i head to the beaches 8-)

    - How do you not make excuses for your workouts?
Since exercising makes me feel good, i really dont have to make an excuse. but you always have to keep your ideal body in mind, and remember that you want to be like that soon. always works as motivation for me
