Weight Still Increased

Hello, MFPs.
I weighted myself this morning and was dismayed that I gained a pound since yesterday. I've been managing and monitoring my calorie input and output. I eat 4-5 small meals every day and make sure I don't exceed my recommended daily allowance. I exercise everyday for at least 30 minutes making sure my heart rate is at 60% of my maximum bpm. Yet, I gained a pound.
Do you know why this is happening? Any suggestions on how I can stop getting heavier and lose weight instead? If you can provide articles, studies, etc, in your comment it will be so helpful. If there are other variables I forgot to mention, let me know so I can provide them.
Thank you all for your help.

Food weighs. It still weighs in your tummy. Water weighs. It still weighs in your tummy. No biggie0

It could be any number of things. Perhaps you could open up your diary and someone could take a look?
Also, when weighing yourself, remember your weight fluctuates day-to-day. I only log mine once a week, on Friday mornings. I do check it regularly, but only in the morning as soon as I wake up, after I go to the bathroom. Be consistent, and you will receive a more accurate reading.
Don't stress over one day! Or one pound! Look at the big picture. Or at least the overall trend for that week.0 -
I'm the same way! I stopped weighing myself so frequently so I wouldn't be so discouraged. My weight fluctuated a lot and then I started to look at my sodium levels. I was over on sodium by like 3000mg on some days. Watch your sodium and drink lots of water. Daily weight fluctuation is normal.0

only weigh yourself once a week. even better, once every two weeks at the same time of the day before you drink any water or eat any food and completely naked.0

Thank you for your comments.
Yes, I'm aware of the daily weight fluctuation. I noticed the trend will only be +/- 0.2-0.4 pound difference. Only today it was a whole pound. Since this is unusual for me I'm curious why. (I always weigh myself first thing in the morning.)
I know I should not fret over this but if it is a sign that I'm doing something wrong then I should do something about it early on.0
