My bf is taking me out for dinner tonight and then a movie... we're going to a local Indian restaurant... I love Indian food but after doing a little research on what choices I should make I'm very disheartened. I'd need to spend about 5 hours in the gym to make up for the calories I'm gonna eat.

Any suggestions on the healthier choices to make?

I love Indian food. Just back from Gran Canaria where there was a superb resteraunt called the Taj Palace in Puerto Rico. Food was to die for. Hence the need to joint MFP!.

Try this link for some suggestions:

I suggest tandoor dishes and just small amounts of the curry. If you are a bread person- get one great piece of Naan and stick with that OR choose the rice if you are a rice person. End of the meal a chai no sugar is always like dessert to me! Eat slowly and enjoy it all!! Have fun.

Thanks for your help... hopefully I won't do too much damage tonight... on the positive side - I weighed in yesterday so if I do blow it tonight I have 6 days to make up for it before I weigh in again:happy:
