I am training for my first race... (ok - my 3rd race - but the first one I am going to run instead of walk).
Yesterday I started the couch to 5k program. Anyone else doing this right now?
Or if you have done it in the past - what are your thoughts? Love it? Hate it?

I started Saturday! I love it so far. Today will be day 3 for me. I have been an interval runner for awhile but I want to be an endurance runner! Plus I'm doing a 5K in August in the mud with obstacles it's going to be so much fun and I want to be ready!!

How long is that transition time?

I have a 5k in a month (my first ever).

I'd totally team up with ya to pull it off

Doing right now myself. Just started the second week. So far I like it, but I'm worried about the long time runs (jogs). I've never run for anything in my life and I signed up for my first 5k run in June so I thought this would be the best program. So far so good!

    Good luck with your journey!!!

It's a 9 wk program...but I think if you've already started training you could skip a few weeks?! If you have a smartphone you can download the C25K app, it gives you all the info and cues when to do your walk/run intervals. Except on my second day somehow I ended up mixing up the intervals and ran more than walked..it was great and it didn't kill me!

My race is a 4 mile race in September - so I have plenty of time.
Last year I was being passed by old women with strollers... Not this time!

Do you ladies mind if I add you? It would be nice to have friends doing it too!
Prof - are you a runner already?

I finished it a few months ago and now Im doing Bridge to 10k...I LOVED C25k!! I never ever thought I could run let alone a whole 5k. It amazes me how in 9 weeks I went from not being able to run a minute to 30 minutes straight...I know youll love it as well..GOOD LUCK!!!

You give me hope : )
Right now I have that "I'll believe it when I can run it" mentality...
