My First Ink!

I have wanted a tattoo for a really long time. I told myself when I reach goal weight I would get one. Well, an opportunity came up that I could not pass down. A little boy of 4 years old that lives near me had heart failure recently. He just underwent a heart transplant and is doing really well!

A tattoo parlor is offering a heart tattoo for $40, and all proceeds will go to this boys family for medical expenses, and the daycare costs for his younger brother while they've been at a hospital in NYC. I will wear my heart with pride, knowing that I did a little bit to help out this family!

It's awesome to hear the community support Derek is receiving. May his road to recovery be quick.

My first thoughts about getting a tattoo was 11 years ago.
Hubby was recently discharged from a month long hospital stay. I got a small pink/purple butterfly the week he was discharged. It was "surprise" when he came home.
