MFP friends! I need your help and advice!

I ran a 5k (treadmill) last thursday or friday, ever since them, my ankles have been either the size of either apples or oranges. They ache alot, and since I have a desk job, stiffen up if I am sit for too long. First question, has this ever happened to anyone where your ankles swelled up and stayed swollen. Second question, what should I think about doing for cardio?? Anything you guys could do to shed some light on this would be great.

    yep, if the body is not used to the impact it will take some time to adjust, go to walmart and pick up some swiss joint care and some swiss joint solutions, this will help greatly. Also massage the area to increase blood flow. I have to stretch my ankles out afterward to keep things loose and working right. I have a lot of old ankle injuries mind you.
