Eating in the night

If I ever (or I should say WHEN I do) wake up in the night I always want a snack. I do allow in my daily calorie count for this and usually it's something healthy say, a half of a banana or a TB of reduced fat peanut butter. I know there are two camps out there regarding eating after a certain hour. What are your thoughts??? Am I sabotaging myself or is it harmless?:ohwell:
