Joint pain/issues

I wanted to post this for those whom have been having joint pain from impact workouts like running, jogging, etc. I played a lot of soccer when I was younger and have had more knee/ankle injuries than I care to count, and because 90% or more of my jobs over the years have been very physical I tend to have joint issues. It varies week to week and workout to workout but I have managed to keep everything in check with these simple things which I wanted to pass onto those whom have or may suffer from the same things.
1) Fish oil, omega 3. This helps me lots in the joint department, love the stuff and I use natures bounty to avoid those "fishy" burps
2) Swiss Joint care (glucosamine/chondroitin) + swiss joint solutions (both at walmart)
3) Stretching before and post workout.
I hope that this info helps some of you as most of the doctors pills did squat for me. These have worked well and I hope they can help you to.

I've done the fish oil and stretching for ages.
Just started with glucosamine/chondroitin, though I take a generic. *is poor* I'm hoping to feel the results of this one soon. I understand it takes a few weeks.
Motrin is also my friend.0 -

Thank you, I have definitely been suffering from knee joint pain and have been feeling very disappointed. I will definitely add the omega 3 back into my diet for that reason alone! I was using it before but did not realize it was also helpful with joint pain.
Thanks for the tip:flowerforyou:0 -

agreed.
and agreed with the OP as well. I play soccer and lift so I have joint issues. Fish oil and msm seem to help.
Make sure you're doing the right kind of stretching before and after. I've heard no static stretching before activities, so i've been doing a warmup with more dynamic stretching. Then I'll do static after0 -
Research is showing that Omega 3s may also prevent Alzheimer's! SO good for you0
