Hey y'all! My 18 year old brother who is 6'2 is looking to build muscle, he wants to know how many calories he should intake? He now weighs 185 and did weigh 210. I tried searching for it, but had a hard time. Since he is at a prime age for growth and health I wanted to make sure I find the right answer.

Depends how active and how much he's going to be lifting.
Say he works out for muscle mass. That only requires 3-4 days a week of intense workout. (Mass building requires a lot of rest.) That requires about 3000-3200 calories and protein level to match his weight.
If he's toning however. (Some people call it "cutting.") Thats about 5-6 days a week of a moderate workout. Thats about 2600-2800 calories with just a slightly less protein level.
However, I am not a nutritionist. These are numbers given to me by one and a couple of trainers. Everybody is different but these seem to be the norm.0
