Hello all!! I ran out of peanut butter and going shopping tonight, so I need a new jar. Any suggestions on a low calorie/ low fat peanut butter that still tastes yummy. The one I had was 100 calories and 8 fat grams per 1 tablespoon. Any help is appreciated

EVERYONE is gonna chime in and tell you about PB2...While MANY love it..I personally didn't like it.
I stick with the all natural PB (ingredients are just crushed nuts and a little salt)
YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...Please pass a spoon!!!0 -
I would recommend the Smuckers Organic Natural Peanut Butter
Dr. Oz says that full fat peanut butter is much healthier and contains the healthy fats that we need each day. He does not recommend lower calorie/fat peanut butter because they replace the healthy fats with extra sugar and unnatural ingredients.
However, before watching Dr. Oz, I used to get "whipped" Peter Pan peanut butter. It has 140 cals.0 -
In order to make low cal PB they remove some of the healthy fat and replace with sugar. 1 tbsp of regular PB is 95 cal and 8 gr of fat. So the same with healthy fat and without the added sugar0

Hmm, PB is something I don't eat often...but it's more of a treat anyways...I don't like the taste of the low fat versions...I'd try to find a *light* variation0

I saw this on here the other day (I'm sorry - I can't remember who posted this but thank you!). I haven't tried it yet but can't wait to. I peanut butter!
1 cup of your favorite smooth PB
4 cups of Greek Yogurt
mix together, plus 1 tbsp vanilla extract and some spice (such as cinnamon, allspice, or whatever else you feel would taste good!)
I store it in a glass bowl in the fridge and use on celery, sandwiches, or for various raw recipes calling for peanut butter.
1 cup of pb normally = 1,520 calories
1/4 cup of pb = 380 cals
1 cup of this mixture = 510 cals
1/4 cup of this mixture = 127 cals0 -
I sometimes use Laura Scudder's brand. Their lower fat version has, for a 2 Tbsp serving, 12g of fat, 12g of carbs (2 of which is sugar), and 6g of protein. The ingredients are: PEANUTS, MALTODEXTRIN, REDUCED FAT GROUND PEANUTS, SALT.
I was a bit worried at first because you have to store it in the refrigerator. But it is spreadable straight out of the fridge and has worked just fine for me.0 -
