I recently had my daughter and she just turned three months! I was finally able to have a girls night out, and well, it was no fun at all seeing all the skinny people everywhere and me being the only fatty. I gained 42lbs with my pregnancy! Just wondering how much anyone else gained with their pregnancy and how long its taken them to lose it. BE GONE BABY FAT!

Hi there! I also gained nearly 40 lb and as they say , 9 mo to gain it and 9 mo to lose it..You need to give yourself a break - your baby is only 3 months old.. It took me nearly 7 months to lose all of the weight but the breastfeeding helped. Exercise is also essential - even just going for brisk walk. Good luck and hang in there.. It is all well worth it , as I am sure you know0

I gained 45 lbs and my son is 2. I only have 15 lbs to go, but it hasn't been easy. My husband and I have been talking about having another baby next year so it is important for me to lose at least 30 to compensate. Don't starve yourself calorie wise especially if you are breastfeeding. Doctors say that it takes a year for your body to get back to normal and I think that a year is a great goal to be where you want to be. If you can getting a jogging stroller and walking, running, and/or jogging might help you get out more. You are making a step in the right direction by wanting to make a change for the better.
P.S. I know how you feel both of my sisters are a 4 and 6 and going out them makes me upset, but for being a new mommy you are very pretty. :happy:0 -
Well, I gained around 60 and i am having the hardest time. My Lo is 7 months today and I have lost and gained the same ten pounds since we were 10 weeks post! The big thing that I have learned is I have to eat back my exercise calories. I hadden't been doing that and it had put me in starvation mode!!!0

I've had three kiddos and I gained 60, 50, and then 45-50!! Oops! With the first I was pretty young and it just came off on its own. The other 2 I had to count calories and exercise my butt off! Eventually it does come off but I'm still here! And if anyone has any insight about the mom pooch or extra skin around the abdomen I would LOVE to hear it!!!
My youngest just turned 7mos!0 -
I gained 50 lbs with my first daughter and not to put a damper on your day but I have yet to lose it. I gained 30 with my second. Sad thing is that my pre-pregnancy weight for the second baby was my 9 month pregnancy weight with my first one. Depressing. My first daughter will be 8 years old in August and my youngest daughter will be 1 in July. I am now 28 lbs away from my before babies weight but I know I will never get there (115 lbs and it was a couple years after high school). This is the first time I have been serious about getting rid of the baby fat and I have lost a total of 23 lbs since January 1st. It will come off as long as you commit. Good luck and congrats on the baby!!!!0

I hear you about that lol. My LO is 9 months now and thanks to MFP im down to a few pounds below where i started. I still have about 7 pounds until im at a healthy BMI, but I was quite comfortable how I was and Im ok with myself now too.
i was 165.3 pounds before I got pregnant.
178.5 afterwards.
And now im 157.0 -

I have the "mom pooch" and I had my baby 4 years ago!! AHHHH!!! I gained 70 lbs with my pregnancy!!! BUT when I finally took the notion to lose it and get back to pre-baby, the weight has been coming off Had taken me nearly nine months but I am almost there. I am guessing (striving) for the one year mark to lose all 70. For the mom pooch, it is slowly going down, I am not sure how but something Im doing is working. If anyone knows the secret please share!!!!!0 -
We I was lucky losing the baby weight. I weighed 170 my first baby dr visit. When I had my son I weight 199 and at the 8 week post check up I had lost down to 173. I'll tell you like I told the Dr. I have NO IDEA how I lost it all so fast!! I wasnt doing anything but enjoying my time with my sweet baby and eating. I also breastfed during that time. I am also having a problem with the saggy skin below the belly button so I would love help there!! I am now trying to lose the extra pounds I should have lost before getting pregnant. Congrats on the new addition!! If you need a buddy feel free to add me!0

Hi there, I gained 80 lbs with my first pregnantcy and my daughter is now 10 years old. By the time she was three, Ids lost 70 lbs. When she was 6, I got pregnant again (new spouse) and gained 30 lbs within 18 weeks, Had a miscaridge and never lost the weight and kept gaining and gaining...for a grand total of an extra 20 lbs. 2 years later I got pregnant again and gained 10lbs in 6 weeks...another miscaridge and went into starvation for 3 months and sadly I lost the wrong way, but lost 40 lbs. Got back on track and gained my weight back +20 lbs. Got pregnant again, gained 20 lbs in 11 weeks and again, another miscaridge and the extra weight is still on my body. needless to say, I am only 6 lbs short of being the weight I was at 41 week pregnant 10 years ago... Hang in there. I never actualy did exercise to help my case. You can lose it and so can I.0
