My doctor put me on this appietite sepressant to help me lose weight. I was also told, no bread, nothing white (with exception of lol-fat yogurt). So really nothing with carbs or milk. But I find myself only eating about 800-1000 calories a day because there is nothing I WANT to eat. Is it okay for me to only consume 1000. Im a 21 year old female around 200 lbs. Also, if I need calories at the end of the day, can I eat practically anything or does it have to be (for example if I need 200 more to make 1000) 200 of grapes, fruit ect. or can it be really anything? Also, because of all the sugar and carbs in fruit, is fruit really healthy for you? I know a bannna is 101 calories.
thanks

Nothing white at all? Like no egg whites? No milk? I have a lot of food allergies and had to avoid white flour and white sugar for awhile. I found granola to be the best thing in the world. Anything with oats holds you over for awhile. You probably aren't eating enough calories because of the appetite suppression medicine. You really need to eat 1200 a day to keep from GAINING weight from starving your body. Go to the store and start reading labels to find what you can eat! Also, if there is a trader joe's near you, they are very helpful in selecting foods. They have lists of gluten free foods (which include a ton of bread), and dairy free foods if you ask for them. I can give you more suggestions for food if you tell me more about what you cannot eat..... trust me, I'm the food allergy queen0

Fruit carbs/sugars are WAY better for you than complex carbs (white bread, white rice, potatoes, etc.). I've done this diet before and it is a great diet just really hard to stay on. Good luck!!0

I believe naturally occuring sugars are better than artificial sweeteners so I don't worry when I eat an orange and all of my sugars for the day are used up. I don't think you should eat anything if you have calories left to use. Eat sensibly. Remember if you don't enjoy how or what you are eating you probably won't stick to it. Eat what you enjoy in smart, small portions without going crazy. Skip fast foods as they are horrible for you, even the salads are pretty bad. Good Luck!0
