How to log my exercise at work....

I am a "as needed" nurse tech which requires constant walking, frequent lifting and turning of patients, and I rarely sit. For instance I worked for 8 hours today and probably sat a maximum of 1-2 hours. that means I did around 6 hours of moving (mostly walking). Should I record this in my exercise log? Since I only work occasionally shouldn't it be considered as exercise? What are your opinions on this and how would you log it? I do not have a pedometer or HR monitor.
I checked out the "walking slow 2.0mph" and for 6 hours that would put me at burning over 1000 calories which seems outrageous and I doubt that happened.

Hmmm...that is tough.
If I were you, I would set my activity level higher and just eat a big fewer calories on days I didn't work and see how that goes.0 -
Don't log it, just set your activity level to active, It says in the example that you are walking around all day.0
