Burning calories

I have a question according to getting your HR use 220 minus your age mine would be 188 ,so is this range where I need to be when working out to get a better burn ? I have to admit I have this fear of my heart bursting ..lol I know it is probably a crazy question ,but in order for me to get this done and the right way I need a little input TY Also I am 5 '2 so any advice on this would help thx

Your heart won't burst
I can get up into my 99% when I'm working out sometimes (which, for me, is around 187), and I'm fine.

Your target HR should be at 60-85% of you MaxHR You should NOT repeat NOT be working at 99%!!!!!Fat burning takes place in the 60-70% area although if you have anaerobic spurts that push you up to max that is OK but you don't want to stay there. Max is 220 minus your age.0

You should be exercising somewhere in the 50-85% of max heart rate range. There is a nice chart here:
