For all you P90X lovers

I am down 65 pounds and I need to start toning up. I'm happy with my weight but not the fat on my thighs, arms, and butt. So a couple of questions. First, I normally work out twice a day to accommodate my son's schedule. 30 minutes right after work and 30 minutes after he goes to bed. Would it be okay to do P90X in two separate segments? I know most of the DVD's are an hour long. That wont be possible for me unless I do all of it after he goes to bed or wake up at the butt crack of dawn. Second, If I just want to tone and lose the fat I have left do I increase my calories or keep them the same? I have eaten 1200 calories for so long now that when I do increase them it will be tough to consume that much. Any input would be highly appreciated.

P90X is awesome and so are you for losing 65 lbs!!!
Most videos have 2 sets so you could do it in two parts, although I think it is more intense in one setting. Perhaps you can do your work outs in the mornings or after your son goes to bed? I personally do 2 P90X strength videos each week and run the other 4 days for my marathon training--so you just gotta do what works for you. However, to see the amazing results in a short time, you will need to do the structured program of 6x a week.
As for your calories, P90X is very intense and you WILL need to eat more than 1200 calories since your muscles will be burning calories way after you stop the video. As you get closer to your goal weight you will likely hit a plateau if you keep your calories so low.

hmm i dont know maybe it just seems like trying p90x like that would be a major inconvience because your having to split it up, but it may work for you. i always had to wait til my daughter fell asleep during round one, on round 2 she' stays out of my way if she's up. i'd say try it like that or try to adjust like maybe do the full thing after he's sleep for good?0

I say, whatever works for you will work! Just do what you can, pause the DVD and go finish the rest when you can. The only issue I have is that you would need to re-warm-up before you start on the 2nd part. :-)
And YES, you will need to up your calories. P90X has an amazing nutrition plan and the least amount of calories you should be getting is 1800.
I've done two rounds so let me know if you have more questions. :-)0
