Hey there,
I was wondering if any of you guys could look at my food diary and help me figure out what I am doing wrong here. I have not really budged at all on the scales. Thanks!

I think your diary is pretty good, BUT I would lay off the Bucks and all the lattes and frapuccinos and add more fiber to your diet like fresh produce - veggies, fruits and beans.0

I couldn't see anything wrong with it. Looks good. Maybe you're eating too much salt and retaining water. Maybe boost your exercise? At any rate, I would stick with what you’re doing and eventually you’ll see results.0

Cutting back on the Starbucks should help. Also, stop skipping meals!0

I only looked at this week, but It looks like you need to get more. You have alot of cals left over at the end of the day. it also looks like you need to eat less coffee, processed foods, and increased natural fruits and vegs...0

Sorry eat more0

You aren't eating enough. You have too many calories left over on the days I looked at. Also you should make sure to eat a quality breakfast in the morning to get your metabolism fired up- red bull and starbucks just don't cut it. Good luck.0

Not eating enough - you should eat back your exercise diaries,.... also try eating every two hours... you can make up to 6 meals on your diary.0

Hey,
I'm not an expert, so my advice is rather my opinion :-)
I'd say you're not eating enough calories... the number that MFP gives you includes the calories that you want to lose, so no need to go under that number.
And you don't log any water at all. Either you don't drink any, and then I recommend you start drinking water as soon as possible... or you just forget to log ?!?
I didn't even watch the quality of food you log so I won't comment on that one :-)

Yes, i would recommend checking how you set it up, because most people's with no exercise that day is set to 1200,... but that doesn't matter because you still aren't eating the 1200.. Make sure you try to eat 1200 atleast and if you exercise for 800 calories, try to get it as close to 200 left that you can
Also, I agree with taking measurements, I didnt lose any weight the past week, but 3: in my waste and 1/2" in my upper arm.0 -
I was wondering about your water consumption. You're either not logging it or just not drinking any; both are bad but the latter is obviously worse. Track your water and make sure that you're getting all you need.0

I agree with drinking more water (if you've not been drinking it), also cutting back on the caffeinated coffee.
I would also suggest that you eat more regularly and spread your aclories out through the day, you've been cooking at home which is great but appear to have been skipping meals. Think of your body as a car - you coudn't run a car withough petrol, your body is the same. Eating little and often keeps the tank topped up....
Lastly keep going, don't give up! I'm not the only MFP member that hasn't had amazing weight loss - but like many have lost inches and personally am definitely feeling much fitter and healthier for all the exercise and attention to my diet.
All the best! See you at the finish line!0 -
Agreed with others, keep off the Bucks. Use it as a treat now and then but remember their nutritional information doesn't include things like sweeteners and so on.
Additionally, have you worked out your correct calorie intake levels? It may not sound much but it is possible that for things like homemade foods that the calories on the site can be out a good 20% sometimes as they're only a guide.
You've got to remember there are other things that can play with your weight as well such as the times of your meals and the amount of sleep you're getting.
At a guess I'd say that to keep at your current weight you'd probably wanting to be consuming 2000 cals a day. If you're aiming for 1400ish that's approx 600 less cals a day. A pound of weight is 3500 calories so that's just over a pound a week. With such a small loss if you're weighing yourself daily, unless you're using a digital scale, you'd end up seeing little to know weight loss.
Weigh yourself once a week and preferably (God knows I know) on a Tuesday morning. We all tend to go a little bit mad at the weekend and so Monday morning is never a great indicator.
Stick with it though and you'll do fine.
That was a very long first post wasn't it.0 -
I went back through this week and you had one day that looked good. The rest of the days you are skipping meals and or drinking your calories.
You need to eat more and not skip meals. You should pay close attention to the calories you are drinking. Try adding some more fresh snacks, (fruits, veggies, nuts etc) and tracking your water.
You can take a peek through my diary if you like.0 -
I would say your body is not getting enough calories from actual nutritional food! It looks like you have Starbucks everyday which can be a big killer. Your body may not be getting the right amount of nutrients because of all the star bucks. hmmm. That was my only thoughts.0

Thank you all so much for your help!! I really appreciate it!0

Hey hon! You look like you're doing pretty good with lowering calories, but try adding more fresh produce to your day. Also, I'm not sure if you just aren't counting it, but make sure you drink lots and lots of water! Seriously, you retain water when you dont' drink enough. It sounds backwards, but when your body is dehydrated, whether you feel dehydrated or not, your body will store water in order to protect itself. If you're fueling up on water, your body wont' have to do this. Plus, drinking cold water burns calories, and being hydrated helps your skin a ton! There's nothing bad about drinking about 8 glasses of water a day!0

I read that if you feel thirsty - you are already dehydrated.....0
-
you drink your calories and dont eat proper0
