I can put my weight in mine so I use the calories that my treadmill says that I burn

You can add exercise.....that is what I do and just put in whatever your machine says you burn. Hope this helps:)

My treadmill can also calculate the calories burned, but I have an HRM and notice it's not correct. I ALWAYS go by what my HRM says!

I use the calculations on my treadmill because it takes into account my age, weight, and incline of the treadmill. When I compare it to MFP it is usually way off.

My calorie burn is way different on all different machines.

    For example:

My treadmill (which inputs height/gender/weight) said last night I burned: 321 calories.
    My Nike+ said 305.
    MFP said 271.
    My polar HRM 230.

You can see where people get frustrated because they try to eat back their exercise calories and are going overboard.

I ALWAYS go with my HRM
