Do you count for all the seasonings and spices you use when you are grilling...when I make something on the grill I don't measure them out so I don't know how to account for them! Any suggestions?

If they are just spices, no... I would only track a seasoning with salt, if I was being careful about my sodium intake. :)

I usually don't since most spices either don't have any calories or so low it is insignificant to my daily total.

If you are concerned about sodium intake, you might want to log them so you get an accurate reflection. Otherwise, unless the spice has a ton of sugar or oil, I would not log them.

OMG! :noway: No way! That would drive me mad!!

Seasoning has negligable calories, even salt! But I track sodium just keep a check on water retention fluctuations.

    good luck :flowerforyou:

spices, no, as long as they don't have any sodium, but marianades and such, yes, I always count them.

I dont, and I dont use salt or items with salt in them... i have enough trouble staying under on sodium... i just use plenty of garlic powder, parsley, onion, etc.

I count them in recipes, and I count salt as as I track my sodium. While most spices are low in calories they can really start to add up, so I do count them. But I count everything except water.

I wasn't including them either, but now I like to knowing that I have friends here, looking at my diary and seeing how I eat for the day, and there are spices that can help your overall weight loss as well as naturally cleanse your body, so I put them on there. Cayenne for instance and jalapenos and such speed up metabolism. Just a thought!

I add them to the diary...if they are below 5 calories I delete them (most of the time). I mainly add them though for sodium content.
