I've almost reached my goal weight, but my stomach is still very flabby since my first son almost 3 years ago!! Any tips on making it go away or at least look better as it looks awful at the moment :(

  • its tough to get rid of the extra skin and flab. i definitely have a "pouch". i'll still take it over all that fat any day.

Make sure your diet is on point. Be consistent with your workouts, eat healthy and strength train as well. If its skin then there is nothing you can do. Most time the last place to lose fat is in the stomach.

Do more weight training, and lift heavy weights. You are very unlikely to put on slabs of muscle, but you will start changing how your body looks. Still do cardio, but a little less of it. I am a great believer in cardio strength training/metabolic resistance training or HIIT to get rid of fat. They will work much better burning fat than long duration steady state cardio. Combine that will a good strength training program, and you will see the pooch disappear. Oh, and get much closer to your maintenance calories. You need to keep your metabolism going, and a large calorie deficit such as you would need to lose even 1 pound a week will not help at this point. I will be keep you calories under control, and seek to maintain and even build some muscle.
