An article by a dietician entitled

"Why the scale lies".....

I weighed in this morning two pounds heavier than yesterday morning. Then I went to the mall and discovered I'm down a pants size.

outlining reasons that our weight fluctuates. :flowerforyou:

I only weigh myself once a week on the same day in the morning. Not every day. Our weight goes up and down all the time for a number of reasons. What's the benefit of weighing in everyday?

Thanks, cheered me up too - though my weight doesn't really fluctuate from day to day.

I have heard it said a lot, Muscle weighs more then fat.
It took me the LONGEST time to wrap my mind around that, we where brought up to think that if we weighed a certain amount that we where over weight... RIGHT???
And a pound of fat and a pound of muscle are STILL a POUND RIGHT???
    WRONG! :noway:
It is more a qty thing. IE a handful of muscle is not equal to a handful of fat.
Like a holding prime rip in one hand and a fist full of butter in the other.
THIS is only PART of the reason that the scale lies! :grumble:
    Great report !:flowerforyou:
