Is a can of V8 enough to break a fast?

Sometimes I Just don't have enough time to eat a proper breakfast - would a can of V8 be enough to break my fast and kick start my metabolism for the day? I would have a bigger "breakfast" later in the morning - but for that initial hour I am up and when I am short on time - could I just chug a can of V8?

    I think it should be a good start before u actually sit down and have a bigger breakfast...Im not usually hungry in the morning, but would have something light, even if its a glass of milk...or if the blender is clean I would make a shake!

    Shake is a good idea.

    I just have too many mornings where I am busy and I look at the clock and realize I've been up for 3 hours with no breakfast yet. So, I know its important to break that overnight fast - was wondering if V8 would suffice - a shake would be better, then I could get more protein in.

    Just because of the high sodium content, you would be better off with an apple or a banana. Just as easy on the go.
